Scale Proportionately

With Photoshop 2020, I learned that you no longer had to hold the shift keep when scaling proportionately.  All I had to do was drag the anchor points.  Somehow I've changed my settings where I have to hold shift down again.  Can someone help me figure out what I changed.  I really don't want to have to remember to hold shift.

Thanks,

Dorian

Hi

The second place to look is in the options bar after you have done Cmd+T for Free Transform. There is a link box inbetween the width and height that can be toggled to be proportional or distorted.

OMG, that worked!!  Thank you so much!!

Another thing I noticed though, maybe after toggling the retain aspect ratio, is the X, that goes through my element, isn't showing any more.

You're welcome, Dorian, and I'm so glad it worked. I don't know what you mean by the X isn't showing anymore. (I love your cat!)

Alt key now allows Free Transform to work (scale) proportionally.

I tried checking this box.  It still requires the shift key to keep it proportionate.

Uncheck that option shown on screenshot.
