I have Photoshop CS5.1 (64 bit) and recently got a new HP all-in-one that can scan a full 11x17 sheet.
Problem is, I can't get Photoshop to scan the bed any wider than Legal size (8.5x14).
My printer /scanner dialog box is set to auto-detect the flatbed, but Photoshop refuses to acknowledge anything bigger than legal size on the flatbed.
Is there a setting in Photoshop to change this? I have noticed that when the scan dialog box comes up in Photoshop, there is a grayed-out drop-down that says [legal size 8.5x14], but as it's grayed-out, I can't change it to tabloid/ledger.
I have all of the current drivers installed on my printer.
Any help would be appreciated.

Scan with some orher software and edit the scaned file image in Photoshop.
Can Photoshop print on large paper on the Printer?
Which HP all in one?

Yes, the issue isn't printing at all, as I can create the page/canvas in PS to the correct size. The HP 7740 can print to ledger paper. You can expand one or both trays to accommodate 11x17 paper.

Then use HP software to scan. Also be sure you set source to Flatbed

I'll try it out. Thanks!
