I would like my filename to be saved in the clipboard, as soon as I hit "save" or "save as".

Are there any suggestions how to automate this process?

Thank you for your help and have a nice day!

What good would a file name in a text clipboard be if you use Photoshop UI "save as" Photoshop is is not  going to use the clipboard conrent on its own.  You would need to navigate to the proper field in Photoshop's UI then use Paste to paste the filename onto Photoshop save as dialog file name field.

If you have the name y\tou want the document saved into. A script could do the save as without ant system dialog...

Sorry Mr. Mack - I have read your answer and there is a LOT of grammatical construction and spelling errors - so many, in fact, that I really do not know what you are saying.  I do not wish to sound derogatory, but I have read many other answers you have given with other Adobe products, and they frequently suffer from the same problem exhibited in the screen grab I have attached.  To better serve the Adobe Community, you really need to proof what you write before submission.  I do!
