Question

Select All, copy/paste into Outlook or Teams

Hi all,

I'm putting this as a bug report, but not sure. Recently updated my Photoshop to 2025.0 and noticed that if I have a psd open, merge stamp the layers together on a new layer, select all and copy, this version of Photoshop has some issues for me.

- copy/paste is laggy depending on the complexity of the file, but I'm. It wasn't before

- I am now unable to paste into Teams or Outlook (after selecting all, or an area) outside of Photoshop about 50-70% of the time. Nothing happens as if nothing has copied.

I have some Actions that copy the merged layer to 50% its size, then puts it into a duplicated file, selects all and copy. Worked fine on previous versions of Photoshop and was useful for emails etc.

My computer should be more than enough for this task to work correctly and I have tried having 'export clipboard' ticked and unticked inside of General Preferences.

Anybody else encountered this? Any recommendations?

Is it a known issue?

I'm on Mac

Thanks

@richardj35051084 the issue is with Outlook and Teams. There was a recent update pushed out that broke this for us as well. Nothing changed in our PS install as we can control that.

Well hopefully it will be resolved for the next patch.

(i hope you can hear that, Adobe!)

It seems to be tied to copy/paste of simple pixel data being ridiculously slow as well (instead of instantaneous, it's upwards of 10s)

I might try a complete reinstall when I get opportunity just to cross that off. When I last did it i just hit update.

Has nobody else experienced this issue?

Yes, that's what I have. It's greyed out on Outlook, but not Teams...but neither paste.

- It may be linked to canvas size. I made a series of single layered psds with increasing size and it stopped pasting at size 3000x2000. Now if I go back and paste a smaller size, it doesn't work unless I re-do a selection.

It also seems to get impacted if you use the 'Image Size' function and possible canvas size too.

Either way it's incredibly frustrating so I'm bringing it up as an error with this version. I'm glad I'm not alone though!

I am experiencing the same issue on Windows. The ‘Paste’ function is occasionally greyed out outside of Photoshop. However, this does not always occur. It seems that the dimensions of the file play a role in this issue. Try using smaller dimensions, such as a long side of 1200px, and see if there is any difference.
