Select people not including glasses

Community Beginner ,

I have a hi-res image of two people wearing glasses. When I use the select tool, it's not grabbing the glasses on either person. Not listing glasses as a choice, either. (Haven't seen it do that before.) Using Photoshop 2026 v27.0.0 on a Macbook Pro M4. Suggestions? Bug?? (I blurred their features for privacy issues to post here.)

Did you try selecting 'Entire Person'?  INE that feature does not work when the glasses extend outside the face.  So output to a layer mask, then use the Pen Tool to add the unselected part of the glasses.

MsMovies, does the problem recur on repeat selection? These AI tools are sometimes amazing, sometimes disappointing. I don't see anything with their glasses that would preclude their separate selection.

Looking again, the people in your photo are not in the same plane.

A second child was taking the photo, that's why the mother was bent over.

I've tried the tool with V27 and with the beta recently released.  Same issue.

I did try that. Had no issues with the rest of them. Could get the add tool to work. When I tried adding the glasses using other methods, it let go of the rest of the image. The puzzling thing is it's worked with other photos with people wearing glasses. Perhaps you are right that they're just too far from the rest of the body. Thanks for your help.
