I keep trying to use my select subject tool in Photoshop. The error pops up " unable to load AI selection model" or "graphics processor has enoutered an uncoverable error. GPU acceleration has been disabled for the remainder of the session"

This is a new computer, and Ive never had this problem on other Windows computers

    Hi there,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Could you please share the system info of Photoshop from Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload to Creative Cloud files (https://assets.adobe.com/files) and share with us?? Are your drivers up to date?

Go to Photoshop preferences> Performance, disable the graphics processor's use, and restart Photoshop.

Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Ranjisha

Hey, @abode_5256. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. This is an old thread; updates have been released since then. To help us understand more, please share screenshots & the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here. Does this happen when you use any image?

Feel free to start a new thread with the above-requested info.

For now, try changing the Select Subject mode from Edit/Photoshop > Preferences > Image Processing > Select Subject to Cloud & Selection process to Stable.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
