Can anyone help with my assignment and show me what it looks like from the grade sheet number 2 that makes the selection of red flowers, please?

1. Change the Mode from RGB to Lab Color, choose the a channel to create an alpna channel (Fig 1)
2. Choose Curves to increase the contrast of the Alpha channel image (Fig 2)
3. Do some easy brushwork to isolate the red flowers (Fig 3)
You may now return to RGB mode and use the Alpha channel to make a selection or a mask
Select >> Color Range
Hold shift down to add colors to selection
Click atleast 3x to get a light, medium & dark red.
If needed cleanup by painting in the mask channel
One thing more about using a channel to create the Selection or Mask. If you are not comfortable with Lab Color, make a duplicate ,image and change its mode to CMYK. Choose the Magenta channel to create the Alpha which will be copied to the RGB file and become the RGB Selection or Mask as described above. This is the Magenta channel without the Curve adjustment or the brushwork.
