Sepia tone to grayscale images in PS CC

I have never encountered this behavior. Grayscale images have a sepia tone when opened in PS CC. It does not happen with Bridge or Lightroom so I don't think it's the graphic card. When one examines the color picker, the black is black and white is a light yellow color regardless of luminosity value.

Any ideas of what might be causing this sepia toning problem. It's driving me up a wall.
