Most developers don't use WebP because it is not supported by Safari on iOS and Mac platforms.

Hi there,

Photoshop does not support the WebP format natively. You can download a plug-in to help convert the images to WebP. Please check a similar discussion here: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop/converting-images-to-webp-in-photoshop-cc/td-p/10281336?page=1

You can add your vote to the idea of including native support for the format to Photoshop here: https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/please_provide_support_for_the_webp_image_format_for_25_34_image_size_improvement_alone_compared_to_using_pngs_and?topic-reply-list%5Bsettings%5D%5Bfilter_by%5D=all

Hope this helps!
Regards,

Nikunj
