Is there any option or script existing that allows me to Set my Smart Object to next/previous Layer Comp and then name Actual Smart Object as Layercomp? Would be very helpful.

You may want to post over on

Photoshop Scripting

I expect the process itself should be scriptable indeed.

Can you explain better what your mean.  There are may type of smart objects and they can use in document the have no Layer Comp.  How do Smart object layers get the have attributes like next/previous Layer Comp.  I would think Layer comps would have Layer associations.  I would not think  that smart object layer  would have associations to layer comps like links to next/previous layer comp. However, I do not use Layer Comps. I do use smart object layer though. My Images processing  does not need Layer Comp.

When you select your layer with Smart Object and look at Properties window you will see selectbox with list of Layer Comps which are inside the Smart Object. When you select particular Layer Comp from there your Smart Object changes.

So is it possible? I use layercomps very often and it is important thing when I work on big projects. The script I described above would save lots of unnecessary mechanical work. I think that this kind of function logically should be inside of photoshop and lots of people would use it.
