I discovered another bug into the 24.0 version of Photoshop.
If we open a curve layer, then click on the 3 lines on the Right top of the curve window, there is an option called "Auto option". this option allows to do a proper white balance of an image.
When clicking on the Auto Options, the Auto Color Correction Options window opens (file attached). There are 4 options which we can choose. Among these options is "Find Dark & Light Colors". When clicking on this option, photoshop will automatically look for the darkest, lightest and average part of the image and do a white balance accordingly.
Unfortunately, the shadows pick does not work. When chossing this option, the image becomes very light wih all the shadows being lifted.
When manually clicking on the shadows, the image becomes white. However, if color picking on the Highlights or Midtones, it works fine.
This is a bug that needs to be sorted.

The Target Colors seem to be different values from the Default
If you set the
Shadows to RGB 0.0.0
Midtones to RGB 128.128,128
Highlights RGB 255.255.255
does that make any difference?
