How do I permanently turn off these transform points? Com+T(mac) temporarily hides them.

Do you mean then, that they are -always- selected? Please, save the file as PSD, and then open it again. Does that shape shows again the points selected?

The points went away when I closed and re-opened. The point is I don't want to see them at all. PS6 did not have them.

I told you in my first answer to click OUTside of that object, in an empty area, not inside of it). And those points appear because it is a vector shape, AND somehow you have it selected it. very likely you have the Path Selection Tool on use, and clicked on it.

Which are the steps you have used for placing that logo on Photoshop? Copied from Illustrator and paste?

There is a straight way to hide those points, just press Ctrl/Cmd+H.

But, there is a catch they will not show up again when you select that object, shape. And also you will not see selection borders either.

You can press again that shortcut, and I am pretty, pretty sure, if you select any other tool like the Brush or Rectangular Marquee tool, those points do not show up.

Regarding CS6, I don't keep memory about the features of that version, they have expanded during last seven years. But I think those points that disturbe you only appear becuase you have that logo selected, no?

All these tips are helpful in removing/hiding the path points once visible. I would like for them to NOT be visible to begin with.

I don't think you can. If they weren't visible you couldn't change, or move, them.

You can reduce the size by clicking on the cogwheel in the options bar - or by reducing the default path thickness in Preferences>Guides Grids & Slices>Path

They are points on the currently selected path, allowing you to modify the path as required.
Press the Esc key to deslect them and Esc again to remove the path from view.

Clicked inside on the image and thumbnail with selection tool. Nothing... I have a feeling it has to do with cc prefs but I don't know which one. Thanks.

Click outside the path with the Path Selection Tool
