New Here ,

I use the bloat and pucker tool quite a bit and today the keyboard shortcut for that isn't working.

Anyone else seeing this?

Hi @douglasfotografix,

I understand how frustrating it must be when a shortcut you rely on, like Shift+Command+X, suddenly stops working. This shortcut is typically associated with the Liquify filter.

This issue is often caused by third-party interference. Here’s how you can troubleshoot:

1. Restart your system and check if the shortcut works again. Sometimes, a fresh start resolves temporary conflicts.

2. If restarting doesn’t help, try running Photoshop in Safe Mode:

• Boot your computer in Safe Mode (varies by OS/ Chip).

• Launch Photoshop and use the shortcut.

• Gradually launch other apps you usually use and see if any of them interfere with Photoshop’s functionality.

3. If Safe Mode identifies an app causing the issue, you may need to adjust its settings or close it when using Photoshop.

Let me know if this resolves your issue or if you’d like additional assistance.

Best,

Anshul Saini

I have the same problem on my PS2025/Windows11. It's so weird.

Hi @duckbillandmole,

Thanks for sharing that you’re encountering the same issue. I completely understand how inconvenient this must be, especially with a tool you rely on regularly.

Could you please try the suggestions shared earlier? For your Windows 11 system, you can boot into Safe Mode using the steps outlined here: Windows Safe Mode.

After booting into Safe Mode:

1. Launch Photoshop and try the Shift+ctrl+X shortcut.

2. Gradually start other applications you usually have open to see if there’s any conflict.

Let us know your observations. If the issue persists, we’re here to explore additional troubleshooting steps with you!

Best,

Anshul Saini
