Hello everyone!

Well, I was working in some design and I was trying to apply a depth extrusion using the shortcut, but everytime I pressed the keys, it was just moving and not duplicating.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong here, but I'll appreciate if you guys can gimme some North.

Thanks in advance!
Peace!

Use ctrl+alt+T to bring up transform.
Transform, enter. Then use to shift+ctrl+alt+T to repeat the transformation.

it is only moving the selected object, not ctrating a copy.

Try with a preference reset, that is a general advice for all things weird in Photoshop.

Another thing to check is whether Alt is functioning properly. Alt is duplicating in Ctrl + Alt + T and Shift + Ctrl + Alt + T.

If you tried both suggestions above, then capture a screenshot with the Layers panel visible so that someone may get a clue on what's wrong.

This video shows the fix: https://youtu.be/GMOPuTnbWB4?si=Cz1QzCKPzDCImyVx

• Duplicate the desired smart object layer.
• Rasterize the duplicated smart object layer.
• Press Cmd/Ctrl + T and apply your desired transformation.
• Press Enter to confirm the transformation.
• Use Ctrl + Shift + Alt + T (Transform Again with Duplicate) to check if the transformation works as intended.
• Delete the rasterized layers.
• Use Ctrl + Shift + Alt + T (Transform Again with Duplicate) on the original smart object layer, and it should now work properly.

Hello, I'm coming very late, but this is mainly for those who might run into the same problem in the future. It's possible that you added a custom keyboard shortcut. You can reset the shortcuts or go to:
Edit > Shortcuts and Menus > Edit > Transform > Again (And from there, you can add the shortcut you want).

Free Transform Step & Repeat has always been a bit finicky.  It is most reliable with raster layers, and probably won't work with Smart Objects or Shape layers.

A bit over ten years ago, Michael Ninness did an excellent workshop at MAX called Photoshop Power Shortcuts.  In this he suggested these shortcuts for controlling windows, and I have used them ever since.  The trick is to save them with a Custom Workspace, and switch back to Essentials when you need Step & Repeat.
