I set up Shift F2 as an action shortcut, but it seems like originally it was a shortcut to change Photoshop's interface color. Shift + F1 makes it Darker while Shift F2 makes it lighter, the problem I'm having is that sometimes I press Shift + F1 on accident and it changes the interface color, and as Shift F2 is set as an action now it doesn't change the color back. I tried looking in the shortcuts to remove the Shift F1 shortcut but it seems to be unchangeable. So I'm wondering if it's possible to change it or if it's possible to lock the UI color.
It's annoying.
On Windows F1 used to bring up the Photoshop Online Help or locally installed help/pdf on older photoshop versions.
I believe Adobe stopped using F1 for Help with Photoshop 2021 with the Discover panel now coming up when one uses Help>Photoshop Help.
F1 on the Mac side is for Undo/Redo
It's unfortunate that Adobe has not provided a way to change many of the photoshop keyboard shortcuts that are hard coded into the application like Shift F1/F2, which as far as i can tell, are not even listed

Shift F2 is available. I had no problems assigning that to one of my actions.

I was able to use the Shift + F2 shortcut fine, the problem is that Shift + F1 seems to be an unchangeable shortcut. I was wondering if it's possible to change it.

Right. F1 isn't even in the list. It's probably reserved for something, but I have no idea what. Nothing happens when I press it.

I didn't found how to set a different shortcut for changing interface color but you can easily set any action on Shift+F1. For example you can create a Curve adj layer for Shift+F1 and it will stop working as changing interface color

I have the same problem BUT.
I found out that not only shift+f1(f2) changes the inerface color theme. If you add to it Alt of Ctrl (Alt+shift+f1(f2), Ctr+shift+f1(f2) Ctrl+Alt+shift+f1(f2)) it will also do the same by default.
I assigned all the combination with F2 except Ctl+Alt+shift+f2. And now i can use this one when i accidentally press Shift+f1.
There is other way. You can't change the combination for changing interface theme color but you can reassign all the combination with F1 and F2 on come other functions. You can't use F1 for calling actions but you can use it for creating layers, masks, calling filters and so on.
It is really a problem but Adobe usually doesn't give a ****. This is too insignificant thing to take their attention
