How do I ELIMINATE this Tab and Shift+Tab shortcut from photoshop whatsoever !?

Or even better: how do I assign them to something actually useful ?

Can't find the [removed by moderator] thing on the keyboard shortcuts menu

Thank you ahead.

Hi Lucas,

Hopefully you only have to press it once to bring back your panels? These two shortcuts have been around since the very beginning.

Here's one thought that you may or may not like: another way to bring back the panels is to select the current workspace again. (Save your workspace first if you haven't.) You can create a keyboard shortcut of your choosing for this and use that shortcut.

@LucasBS

You can't change all shortcuts, including this one — which also works the same way in other Adobe applications. I am assuming that you are not using your Type tool with an insertion point active?

Hello, Jane

I should have been more specific. Didn't know Type tool also uses those shortcuts.

Tab and Shift+Tab annoy me to the bone because I constantly press them by accident, and the toolbars disappear.

Then I have to find the button again and toggle it ten times to have my interface back.
