Question

Signature "Brushes" have colors reversed

I have a signature brush with a white signature and grey shadow which I saved as a .png and created a brush.

This brush has worked perfectly until now and what I am seeing now is that the signature is grey and the shadow white - reversed.     Is there a setting to invert the colors that I may have inadvertently set or is it possible that v23 has a bug?

I have attached the .png brush signature and a sample image with the signature added.

Does your layer have a blend mode on it? You can try cmd/cnt + i to invert the colors.

No layers, only the locked background layer - purposely opened a raw image via ACR and immediately applied the signature brush directly to that layer.

A Photoshop Brush-tip cannot be full-color, so white, black and transparency in one Brush-tip is not feasible at current.

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Brush Settings, Brushes, Options Bar, …) visible to clarify what you mean?

If you actually used the Brush Tool what is its Blend Mode?
