This is driving me crazy. The "double tap" to open Layer Styles is too sensitive. When I'm working, I might drag to duplicate a layer, then select it: the Layer Styles dialog opens. I'd say these false positives happen about 30 times during an hour-long working session. That means clicking to close the Layer Styles dialog 30 times. This is very disruptive and annoying. Please, Adobe, add a setting to disable this double-tap behavior.

Disable Layer Styles double tap?

Hi, a double click would be the same all over the app, you can change the speed of double click in system preferences.

Hello,
Thank you for the suggestion. I have tried this, but even on the most extreme settings, it's still opening the Layer Styles dialogue. This is ALSO an issue shared by other Photoshop users.

Same here! I'm on Sequoia 15.1.1 and Photoshop 26.1.0. I did just update SteerMouse, which I use for my KENSINGTON trackball. Ideas? I am convinced I have my own personal Mercury Retrograde floating over my head! Thanks in advance for anything to try.
