Question

Size of the image in photoshop

Hello,

I have a problem with the size of my images.

For example, I create a new image 100x100px on Photoshop and it's very very small. If I export the image in PNG and put it online, then the image is bigger (the real size).

Can you please help me? I would like to work on the real size on my Photoshop.

I don't know what to do.

Thank you

 Laureen

Ultimately in this matter Photoshop continues to perform as expected and intended; what seems to confound some people are the newer monitors with higher resolutions and the fact that some software (browsers for example) may compensate for that additional resolution by upsampling images so that they appear larger than in Photoshop (where they are being displayed correctly nonetheless).

Anyway … if you want to emulate a browser upsampling images you can try using View > 200% instead of View > 100% – which is intended represent one image pixel by one screen pixel.

Do you understand the meaning of the words »real« and »pixel«?

What makes you think »online« (whicherver browser you mean by that) represents »reality« to a higher degree than professional image editing software?

Could you please post a screenshot of the image in Photoshop taken at View > 100% and of the image in the browser?

Sorry, english is not my native language so I don't know how to explain 🙂

Here is the example with the image 100x100px on Photoshop and then on my computer.

The screenshot clearly proves that Photoshop displays the 100px x 100px image as 100px x 100px while Aperçu displays it as 200px x 200px.

So Photoshop displays correctly, the other application not so much.

Edit: See the dimensions in the Info Panel:

I find it peculiar when people assume any other piece of software must be right and complain about Photoshop when it is really working correctly and as intended.
