Sky Replacement???

Does importing extra skies into photoshop use up memory or slow down sky replacement?

Quite a large collection in different folders...could be as many as 1K

In that case that would cause anything to slowdown and exceed memory allocation. In what pratical use case do you need that many skies uploaded into Photoshop?

So how many before it starts slowing down? Just trying to get an idea

A thousand sky images?  My 5000 x 3000 skies saved to JPG with quality set to 10 are a bit under 4Mb on the drive.  I don't know how skies are handled but it seems likely that is going to hit system resources.  We have seen what looks like a managing on the drive, so it might only keep thumbnails in memory.   If that's the case then no propblem.

Maybe I'll just use aparticular folder e.g. sunsets and delete when finished, and just load what I need at the time.
