I admit I am not the most accomplished Photshopper but I am having trouble getting the sky replacement tool toIMG_1585cd copy 2.jpgIMG_1585cd copy.jpg fill all the sky area. I've tried going into the sky layer but it doesn't help. Any ideas? (See image)

Hi Steve,

We're sorry to hear about the trouble experienced in using the sky replacement tool in Photoshop.

Would you mind sharing the Photoshop and operating system versions? Can you help me with your exact workflow? Are you seeing this issue with this particular image or any images? Could you confirm if this is the procedure that you're following? Click

Hi Ranjisha

Thank you for getting back so promptly. The Photoshop version is 23.1 and
I'm using Windows 10 Home. I haven't been using the sky replacement tool
much but I've only noticed the problem on this picture so far.. I checked
the procedure and it is the same one I followed.

Thanks for any help.

Steve

Thanks for the update. Would you mind checking with any other file in which you have a clear sky without any objects? As I see in the image that a part of it was not able to detect the replaced colors, so just want to confirm if that's the reason or not.

Also, try disabling your GPU by going to Photoshop Preferences and relaunch the application. Let us know if that works.

Hi Ranjisha
Thanks for the ideas. I ran a few pictures with a plain sky without objects and it filled them without problems. I think it just can't recognise it needs to fill the gaps in between the bridge struts.
I also tried turning the GPU off and relaunching PS but there was no difference.
It just doesn't seem to like this image.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for reaching out. As you see the sky are of this image is a bit different than others I would suggest you try duplicating the area on the right. Make a mirror copy (flip horizontally) of the duplicates. Move them to the left and try to rescale them accordingly.

Let us know if this works.
