I am slicing up an image to use smaller bits for a more specific review. I am scratching my head as to why PS is not adding "01" to the first slice in the bunch. It omits the numbers for the first slice but starts adding it on the second slice. It's not a huge issue but it will mess the order up if I have different prefixes. Small annoyance, but perhaps there's a workaround.
I've searched the forum and preferences for a place to define this, but am coming up short. Anyone got an idea on how to force this?
Current version: 19.1.5
Thanks!
Looks like I found out what I was doing wrong.
In the Output Settings edit window, you have options for both "Slices" and "Saving Files". I was trying to get it to work for Slices only and use Saving Files for any prefixes that adhere to our pipeline's naming convention. For some reason it does not add "01" in the first filename if you only have it defined in the Slices options. However, if just set it in Saving Files, it seems to override the Slices settings — still adding "01" for the first sli

Hi there,
Are you working with artboards?
Double click with the slide selection tool the slide and write the same size of your document on the W: and H:
click OK and move the slide to the position 0,0
Let me know if that works

Hi Eugenio,
Thanks for your response. I left out an essential detail in my first post, apologies.
The numbering I am referring to is in the filename, not the slice number in photoshop document. Once I slice up the image — whether I have user slices only or an auto-slice — PS does not name the first slice according to the slice number. It also does not put a slice number in the filename of the first slice. See image below:
In this particular example, I only had user slices 02,03 and 04 and had it only export those.
I am using custom Output Settings, see below:
It might be a misleading example, however you can see in the Default Slice Naming that PS will name the file according to the slice number, including "01".
Even when I remove any auto slices and set slice 02 as 01 (using your method) the output settings still do not add the slice number into the filename.
Hope this makes my goal a bit more clear.
Best,
Marcel

It would be nice if there was a way to add more fields for the filename, which would allow for quick template assignments and tie them to recorded Actions.
Best,
Marcel
