Smoothing Tool is not working properly as of v 23.0

I was working on some line art using the brush smoothing tool and decided to quicly update to v 23.0. Immediately noticed a SIGNIFICANT difference in the amount of smoothing from one version to the other. If I had to put a number on it, I'd say the smoothing is about 50% less than it was previously and it's actually unusable for me with my shaky hands at the moment. Can we get a fix for this ASAP please?
