Hi guys, do you have any idea if Adobe is making a version compatible with Snapdragon X Plus? Bought the Surface 7 primarily for Adobe and now I can't install any editing software from Adobe.

Adobe's last statement on Snapdragon X - states Photoshop will run native now.

https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/download-install/kb/arm-processors.html

ARM processor is also listed in the Photoshop system requirements:

Basically its the GPU that ships with a lot of arm based systems including surface, the Qualcom Adreno GPU does not have enough memory.  See system requirements on this page https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/system-requirements.html .  So it is very misleading to say it will run natively on a lot of these devices, because Surface Pro 11, for instance, does not ship with any GPU other than Adreno.  I suspect that this is the same with most ARM based Windows ARM based systems, because perhaps the Snapdragon does not run with any other GPU but Adreno?  No matter what Photosop will not run natively on Surface Pro 11 arm based.

Beta apps still only available for Snapdragon X Elite. 😒

I have to use InDesign and Illustrator for school and the only option I found is to go to the Program files > Adobe and transfer their entire folders to the ARM PC, then you can find the shortcuts for the apps inside the folder and pin to start. It doesn't work with After Effects but Illustrator and InDesign are working fine for me. They even open faster than in my Intel i7 laptop so I really don't know why Adobe won't release the apps for emulation on X Plus PCs.

That's the risk of being on the bleeding edge. I suspect that Adobe will be releasing new, compatible versions at Adobe MAX conference this month.

I have the same issue with my new Surface Laptop 7. So extremely frustrating!! I have been in contact with Adobe Support for days now but they simply can't fix it. The people there told me that they will unlock my Adobe ID for all Beta Apps. While I can see all the Beta Apps on my old Intel-i7-Laptop, the simply won't show up on my new ARM-PC. Have you maybe found a solution for your problem in the meantime that could probably fit for my case too?

They say Adobe will run natively but as of today, I still can't use my Surface 7. Purchased it mainly for Photoshop and editing stuff but for now the laptop is somehow useless. All I can do is browse the internet and watch Netflix while still waiting for a better version of softwares for Arm.

Thank you for your quick response. I keep trying to find out how the installation of the Beta Apps can be unlocked for my Snapdragon/ARM-Processor PC. If I find a solution or the support will finally be able to fix this for me, I'll tell you here. Otherwise, I will return my useless new PC.

@swapnilalabdulla This is the Photoshop forum. The link I provided above states that only the Illustrator beta version works with, via emulation, SnapDragon X on Copilot+ PCs, the release version does not at this stage. Note, I am not an Adobe employee so have no knowledge of planned release dates.
