Hi,
Driving this week I seem to have passed many a mile of traffic cones and it got me wondering if we could put them to an alternative use. So here you have a cone, what will you make with it?
The “rules”:
To download the image below at 2500 x 3000 pixels, with an embedded ICC colour profile (sRGB) and a transparent background, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the Blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun!

Wonderful Jane. My only worry is that it would trap wind, what with methane being lighter than air. The poor lady could walk over someone's discarded — and still glowing — cigarette, and be sent into orbit.

She's so happy to have found the perfect outfit that she's already dancing on air, @Trevor! 😊

Haha — the grocery cart, too!
Dave, as this is selling for 6M USD, should we be trying to sell our re-interpretations of your masterpieces?

Shall we call it an Impressionist Art depiction of a traffic cone James? You appear to be in your Blue/Purple period, which worked for Picasso. Fingers are crossed that these images are recognised as masterpieces and worth a lot of money, while you are still with us. If Peter Lik was able to obtain $6.5 million [1] for this, then I'd say you are in with a shout.
[1] Word is that Peter bought the image from himself to set a price precedent, and encourage investors to pay ridiculous prices for his images.

I like that image from Lik but there are others from him that absolutely puzzle me. (Like that one where the clouds are so obviously cloned. I still don't know if that was intentional or not.) lol

That must be the crystal source where all traffic cones are born 🙂

Nice idea, but some things just cry out to be animated. Multi segmented disks make life really easy for us, With 16 segments you only need to rotate half a segment (360 / 16 / 2 = 11.25°) and you only need two frames to make the animation. Having only two frames does mean that the direction of rotation can go either way, and change at will. I seem to be able to make it change direction just by moving my head a tiny bit. Strange.

LOL, Trevor, I thought of you after doing this simple image.
Yes! It screams animation.
The real truth, I’m totally clueless when it comes to animation.
Glad you added a new spin.

Those animated eyes do go clockwise or anti-clockwise when I move my own eyes slightly. Now that you've hypnotosed us all what do we do next ? 🙂
