For this weekend's challenge I bring you an old kettle (actually 3D model of an old kettle). How will you use it?
The “rules”:
* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc
* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert.
* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
To download the image below at 3000 x 3000 pixels, with a transparent background and an embedded ICC colour profile (sRGB), hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right. This is beautiful, Dave. I love the texture, coloring, and the elephant trunk spout. 😊

Brilliant Jane.
It was a very quick model and render this week. The surface texture is from Adobe Substance Painter.

Ussnorway, Hi
I love your image composite!
You did an amazing job with your 3D work.

While I am not a 3D person, that Phalaenopsis Orchid definitely got my attention.
I have been a lifetime passionate gardener LONG before Adobe was created.

I decided to try and recreate Dave's wonderful render and give a nice new shiny surface. I can't render it on my work PC cause it's just to old and would more than likely kill it 😉 so it's only a screenshot

A really nice job kp. The perspective matches perfectly, and the shading is pretty damn good as well. I stopped on my way into a DIY store today to look at a poster sized shed advert that showed an obviously Photoshopped quad bike bursting out of the shed. It was not a terrible job, but anyone who posts to the SFTW threads would know it was a composite. I doubt many people, if any, would say the same thing about your image.

Trevor, thank your complimentary reply.
Your Photoshop skill level continues to far exceed mine.
LONG AGO . . . I was so into Photoshop. Now days, I hardly turn on.
SFTW is a fun excuse to revisit Photoshop once again.
