Hi,
Thanks to everyone who took part in our last challenge, there were some very innovative ways of using the old wooden anchor.
This week, we have a wooden spoon. How creative can you get with this simple everyday object?
The “rules”:
* Use one of the starter images as at least part of your own image entry.
* Anything goes, as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc
* Anyone, and everyone, is welcome to have a go, whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert. This is not just for our forum "regulars".
* There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
* The starter images are made available for you to use in this forum challenge only. Sorry to emphasise this, but the images are not for use elsewhere.
To download the image below, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right.
Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image – please use the blue reply button in this first post. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun.
Dave

Here's an Adobe Stock image from the Free Collection, some masked field blur on the masked spoon, and a little Generative Fill to add the paint to the spoon:

Myra, did you do that amazing flare round the spoon? Please say you did. This one put a big smile on my face.

I'm so glad you liked it, but unfortunately, I can't take credit for the flare. It was already in the Stock image:

Haha - anyone with kids will identify with that picture Myra 🙂

It took me a moment to spot the headline. That's a classic touch right there. Is the pointy red beard a prerequisite to play this game?

The headline and the caption both fit with your edits to this one. Nice job !

Used Generative Fill as an alternate for Content Aware for getting rid of a person in the background image and the rest is simple layering and joking around 🙂

I looked them up and there are a few 'Spoon Trails' around the world 🙂

Yes - did you come across the one in Australia:

The center of our Milky Way galaxy is hidden from the prying eyes of optical telescopes by clouds of obscuring dust and gas. But in this stunning vista, NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope's infrared cameras penetrate much of the dust, revealing the spoons of the crowded galactic center region.
Let's face it, Dave's spoon is even to be found deep in the middle of our galaxy. For all of those, who want a glimpse at the doctored NASA image, you find it here. Apparently, NASA hired a highly talented Photoshop expert to remove the spoon.

In a galaxy far far away......spoon wars ! I like the blurring - it helps it to fit.

To be honest, the Milky Way is not that far away…😂
For once, it's a classic Photoshop image, no AI involved. Should I mention that? 🤔

@Jacob Bugge - Nice work.
Here's a spoon joke that relates to your image.
Q. What did the spoon say to the knife and fork?
A. I feel pointless.

Thank you, Dean.
You really make a point. And I can see that the new use is a serious upgrade.

Thanks to the crucial point made by Dean, here is the further upgrade to the dual purpose utensil, both standalone and joint effort:
The Choppick
Click/RightClick to get closer, Click again to get closer still
Edit: Or rather a triple purpose utensil, the third one for a certain stealth picking, hidden in plain sight and quite inoffensive.

Jacob - this also looks handy for if any vampires come to visit 🙂
