Thanks to everyone who took part in our oil can challenge, there were some great ideas and images.
I have @jane-e to thank for this weekend's challenge idea. The Chinese New Year for 2024 starts on 10th February, which is right in the middle of our fortnightly challenge period, and starts the 'Year of the Dragon' or more specifically the 'Wood Dragon'. So for this challenge, I bring you to the dragon's lair. It is up to you to show us whether the dragon is friendly or more sinister.
The “rules”:
To download the image, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right.
Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image — please use the blue reply button in this first post and use the 'Insert Photos' icon at the top of the reply box. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry, then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun!
Dave

That did make me laugh Monika, so really he is just misunderstood. 🙂

'Got a light mate' has an East London ring to it Monika... Now I think about it, I guess you are east of London, but a bit too far to hear the sound of Bow Bells.

These challenges are fun, glad I found them! All added images come from my Firefly account and are then merged in Photoshop. My idea was "the most insufferable thing you could do by a dragon lair"

The birth of an alien dragon.
The version I didn't dare post yesterday, but I've since changed my mind.
Which is the best?

I remember jumping at that scene when it came out JR. I like your take on it.

What's hilarious was that the rest of the cast (minus John Hurt) was in the dark on how exactly it was supposed to go down:
Probably one of the greatest scenes in sci-fi horror, just because of the reactions alone.

Oh wow! I didn't know that James. I'd have to count that as grade A trivia. I saw Ridley Scott on the TV recently. He was being a bit of a hard case about something or other — Napoleon IIRC. I don't know why serious types get so high handed about his movies. I mean, Alien was entirely historically correct. Thelma and Louise pushed the bounderies. A Thunderbird Convertable could easily have jumped that canyon.
