Hi
Thanks to everyone who took the time to post an image in our last archway challenge.
I snapped the boat below a few years ago whilst walking around Whitby, in the north east of England. It could be described as 'needing just a little attention'. Could your Photoshop skills help?
The “rules”:
To download the image, hover over the image and click on the circle with the arrows at the top right.
Then, when the image opens in its own window, right click and choose “Save Image As/Save Target As” (or similar depending on your browser).
When posting back your image — please use the blue reply button in this first post and use the 'Insert Photos' icon at the top of the reply box. If posting a comment on someone else’s entry, then please use the grey reply button next to their image post.
Have fun!
Dave

Dave, which eye is starboard when turning from stem to stern?

Port and starboard refer respectively to the left and right sides of the vessel, when aboard and facing the bow (front).

The port is left on the table.... 🙂

But you can also use starboard (originally steerboard, named from what was used on that side (more convenient for righties) before a rudder) about what/who is on the vessel, Jane.
All uses correspond to those of offside in connexion with horses and whatever being drawn by them.

They look like the garden gnome variety hey @Lavonne Hall?
You guys remember the pink plastic flamingo craze? Is that still a thing?

@mj These were huge statues in Aruba. I knew they would come in handy someday! I do remember the flamingo craze and I think it's still a thing at least in Vegas😄

I love it Trevor - sailing off on its last voyage! The lighting through the sail is spot on.

Trevor, I wonder whether it is the end or a new beginning.
I first saw/still see it as the latter based on my immediate (and lasting) impression of the light: rising rather than setting (port facing north).
