Hi
For this weekend's challenge I bring you an ordinary street, on an ordinary day, in the Scottish city of Glasgow. Nothing unusual until .................. well that is for you to decide!
As always, anything goes as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to have a go - whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert.
There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
When posting back your edited images please use jpeg and downsize to 1200px on the long side. This is to stop the thread slowing down when lots of images are added.
To download the image below in jpeg format with ICC color profile (sRGB) and without the forum scaling artefacts , right click and then use Save Image As /Save Target As (or similar depending on your browser).
Have fun.
Dave

Dave, it seems to be news style, with a few blurred license plates and faces.
I am afraid someone will put a known face on at least one of them.

The “someone” is likely to be Trevor.Dennis and the “known face” is likely to be the Dave Head.

Hi
I blurred the plates and the nearby faces just out of respect to those folk who happened to be walking or driving in that street at the time I took the picture. I hope participants will take part in the spirit in which this thread is meant, and not do anything to offend. If it is abused I will take the image down.

To me, street scenes always beg for film noir...

No worries on those monsters coming in to attack the oblivious pedestrians from underneath and behind. Help is on the way!

Hi
Bob - Yes we were both attracted to the Nessie theme.
Jane - Thanks for providing the safety net - or is it a burglar breaking in to that building above our heads?
Rista - an appropriate image for the location - and I like the wide angle distortion you have added to the background.
Graham - I'm trying to make out what that is - can you give us a zoomed in look? That is the downside of restricting the size of the entries.
Nancy - A great idea - very well executed.
Keep them coming - the weekend is young.

Nancy, this reminds me of the “classic” movie “Bambi Meets Godzilla”. I first saw it as part of a triple feature at a midnight showing in Georgetown many years ago. Now it’s on Youtube. It’s not long.

Jane, much of this thread reminds me of the real/original/classic ゴジラ Gojira (the only version I have seen) where 志村 喬 Shimura Takashi has another great lead role (as the professor)

Hi
Joan - that did make me laugh, especially with the two rubish bags in teh picture.
Semaphoric - At least they are flying the right way up that one way street.
Ponytail - nice work on the shadows. Is it a sinister shadow - or did the photographer step in front of the lamps again ?
Jane - Yes Dr who will save Glasgow.
Jacob - With Taggart investigating I'm sure teh mystery shadow in Ponytail's picture will be resolved.
Graham - That's a nice job on the reflections. Introducing chrome is always tricky in a composite.
Trevor - That must be what you see just before you go blind !
Thanks to all who have taken part so far, If you are skimming through this thread - come and join in. All are welcome.
