Hi
Regulars to SFTW will know that sometimes we start with an object, sometimes with a scene. For this week I bring you Blend Street, a 3D rendered street scene. What will you now add to it?
Anything goes as long as it meets the forum rules on decency, copyright etc.
Anyone and everyone is welcome to have a go - whether you are a complete beginner or a Photoshop expert.
There are no prizes apart from the chance to practice, show off, or bring a bit of humour and fun. Don't be shy, join in and have a go!
When posting back your edited images please use jpeg and downsize to 1200px on the long side. This is to stop the thread slowing down when lots of images are added.
To download the image below in jpeg format with ICC color profile (sRGB) and without the forum scaling artefacts , right click and then use Save Image As /Save Target As (or similar depending on your browser).

Dave, this render is exquisite — except after spending last Sunday afternoon picking up litter along a busy street, the urge to pull out my trash bag and grabber is a little strong!

Hi
Thanks Bob and Jane.
Graham - Far Northern Travel - I like it! That rubbish on the ground is a sweet wrapper.
Jane - you can't take the rubbish away after I carefully placed it there

I can and I did, Dave!
Out of respect for you, your artistic talent, and your carefully placed litter, I first zoomed in and paused to admire each masterpiece. Then I went MarieKondo and thanked each item for the pleasure it brought, asked if it sparked joy, and scooped it up with my trash grabber. They are gone.
But where’s the fun unless I’m sure that you noticed my clean street?

Ged, 'Bizarre Street' made me laugh out loud and then some. A jolly fine street sign as well. I thought the walrus was wearing goggles at my first glance, and when I realised that it wasn't I thought, it's Ged, it should have been wearing steam punk goggles and a leather flying helmet. Some of Monty Python's most bizarre content — and this is 'really' saying something — were done by Terry Guillaim. If he ever needed an apprentice, you'd be perfect. Looking at these illustrations again, they are actually pretty damn good.
When I looked for some of Terry's Python images, I discovered that he has released a few books. Brazil is one of my very favourite films, and I'll be seeing if I can get hold his books. Unfortunately, I mostly listen to audiobooks nowadays, and I have a strong feeling Terry Guillaim's books will have a high visual content.

Woody Guthrie sang about walls. He also sang about his landlord at Beach Haven.

Hi
Jacob - now I know why they left the lid off. Got to let the giraffe breathe . I'm not sure what is going on in the second one - but I hope no-one gets hurt!
Rista - Two shadowy cats in waiting. The rat might be better off back in the hole.
Ged - Bizarre street indeed ! Good to have you back here.
Jane - I didn't know who Woodie Guthrie was, but I do now.

Dave, I’m glad you know who Woody Guthrie is now — he is my most favorite singer of all time, along with his buddy Pete Seeger. (I’m sure you have heard of his son Arlo!) Both were blacklisted during the days of McCarthyism. If you don’t know about Senator Joseph McCarthy and his blacklist, here are some links:

Probably everyone in the U.S. knows the first three verses to This Land is Your Land — I didn’t learn the last verses until I was in my 20s. The verse on the wall is from this song. I’m pretty sure I know every song Woody ever wrote.
In 1950 Woody Guthrie moved into Beach Haven, which was owned and operated by Fred Trump, father of POTUS.

It was there that he wrote Old Man Trump about Fred Trump’s discrimination policies.
"Old Man Trump" ~ Woody Guthrie
Interesting fact: when asked if his father was arrested after a KKK brawl, DJT lied and said no. It’s not entirely clear what FT did or wore that night, but it’s a fact that he was arrested.
The last paragraph here tells some of the singers Woody has influenced over the years:
I didn’t mean to write so much with so many links. Did I mention he’s my favorite singer?
And that I named my first dog after him?

Jane, I had Alice's Restaurant back in the days before they invented CD, and took years trying to decipher 'Seeing eye dog' because a) Arlo's accent meant I was not sure what the actual words were, and b) who the heck refers to Guide Dogs as Seeing Eye Dogs? But the lyrics I did understand, and loved forever after, are when Arlo sees the psychiatrist at the army recruitment office.
And I went up there, I said, "Shrink, I want to kill. I mean, I wanna, I
wanna kill. Kill. I wanna, I wanna see, I wanna see blood and gore and
guts and veins in my teeth. Eat dead burnt bodies. I mean kill, Kill,
KILL, KILL." And I started jumpin up and down yelling, "KILL, KILL," and
he started jumpin up and down with me and we was both jumping up and down
yelling, "KILL, KILL." And the sargent came over, pinned a medal on me,
sent me down the hall, said, "You're our boy."
It's a great story, and very funny.

Yes, Trevor, that’s Woody’s son Arlo with his based-on-real-life story of the Thanksgiving Day Massacree, and they still play it here on the radio every Thanksgiving. Arlo and Pete Seeger used to come to Wolf Trap and I would see them every year, and when Birchmere had a tribute to Woody, his granddaughter Sarah Lee Guthrie also performed. She is married to a descendent of John Steinbeck.
One of Woody’s songs that‘s been on my mind due to current events at our southern border is Deportee (Plane Crash at Los Gatos Canyon). He wrote it when the newspapers did not print the names of the dead and said they were “just deportees”. He gave them names and voices. This song is as timely now as it was then.
I’ve heard Arlo sing Alice many times live, but had to listen to it again just now, and it still makes me smile! Thanks, Trevor.

Dave,
Looking up from the Subway the tall traveller feels a bit cheated and considers lodging a complaint against SPT: even with the correction the poster looks so far from the promised nice hot beach in the south, much chillier, uncannily like Findhorn.
The deep hole expert team called in from the far south are worried, even with their custom crash helmets: they had never imagined the lid might go off in that sense; but they may have overlooked a sign.
