Sonoma Update, can't now access tools - opens desktop

Just installed Sonoma and now when I click on individual tools in the toolbar, it opens the desktop... Means Photopshop is now useless... Please help with suggestions for work arounds / fixes - I have deadline looming!

    Found a solution so thought I'd share it... Open 'Application Frame', drag the toolbar where you want it, then close the frame... Seems to be working fine now. Phew.

      So if I work within the 'Application Frame' I am able to access tools... However, not my preferred set up so please Adobe, let me have my free floating tool bar back!
