Spot Tint?

I'm looking to modify the tint of only a specific area - a face in one of my photographs is a little too orange, so I'd like to add some blue to neutralize the tone a bit. Is it possible to do this?

The short answer is Yes, it can be done.

It is a matter of using the appropriate tool to isolate the area to be modified and then using such tools as Curves or Levels to make changes in the Color Channel values that comprise the selected portion of the image. Since there is no single standard flesh tone value we may be able to guide you if you posted the image and described the modification you have in mind.

Select the area you wish to modify, and add an adjustment layer — the selected area will become a mask for the adjustment, leaving the resat of the image as is.
