Hi-
I always use export > save for web. With the latest update of photoshop (23) whenever I BEGIN to type the name of the file it adds .jpg which is maddening because instead of say "horse.jpg" it will be "h.jpgorse" because the moment I type the first letter .jpg appears.
Is there a preference I can change or a workaroud?
thank you!

Hi Omar,
My operating system is macOS Monterey 12.0.1 and it's a MacBook Pro 2019
What is happening is the filename and extension are highlighted and the moment I start typing it puts in .jpg
If I delete everything it does the same thing. The only thing I can do is make sure .jpg is there and then click before it but this gets tedious to have to place my cursor each time.
I tried to record my screen. Not sure you can see what I mean because I didn't record audio/any explanation but hopefully you can.
In the video the first time I just start typing "cat" without having to put my cursor in the window and the minute I write the "c" the .jpg comes up
The second time I DELETE the name so it's an empty box and I try to type and again after "c" it adds .jpg –so I go and put my cursor in to finish the word. I would rather have to add the extension myself that would be easier.
