Hello,

When I open a file in photoshop (most recent version) the file tab is there but not the artboard. When I zoom in I can slightly see it in the top left hand corner but can't grab it and pull it in... really odd. Has anyone ever had this happen? Is there a simple fix? I've restarted Imac and same thing happens. tried different files and same things happen. Any help would be awesome as deadlines are looming! 🙂

Thanks

Hi Paul.  I'm just slightly confused when you mention the File tab.  Do you mean the File menu?

The artboard shares a pop-out position with the Move tool by default.  Are you saying you can't see it?  Or it sounds like you can almost see it but can't select it. Is that right?

What workspace are you using.  Try selecting Essentials and then resetting Essentials.

Have you customised the toolbar with the three dots at its lower end?  If you right click those three dots and choose Edit Toolbar do you see the Artboard in the left panel or the right (Extra tools)?  If the right, drag it back to the left.

I have a feeling I am not properly understanding your issue so I'll post this and let you explain some more.

What version of OSX are you using?

Thanks for your reply Trevor!

After hunting through many community messages, I just found the fix! it was pretty simple. I just needed to uncheck the graphics processor bock in performance preferences and then restart my computer. Thanks for your help!

Glad you got it sorted Paul, but you are missing out on performance with the GPU not being used.  I am not a Mac user, but I am guessing that it is to do with the video card driver the same as with Windows.  When you have more time start another thread and we'll try and get everything working to its full potential for you.

Good luck
