Strange Changes Made to Photoshop & Photoshop Beta Recently

Thank you for the tip Jane. It had absolutely nothing to do with my dual GPU setup (as I knew it wouldn't, since I have been using that setup on this computer for well over 2+ years). Common sense should have told anyone claiming to be an "expert" that actually took the time to READ what I wrote (that the problem started 3-4 days before Xmas).

So, what it turned out to be was somehow under Select & Mask > Properties > Preset
was changed from Default to Custom and that rendered editing of an image not visible.
