Any ideas? Anyone run into this yet?
I'm doing a simple copy/paste of an RGB graphic from Illustrator 29.7.1 into Photoshop RGB psd (26.7.0).
First I've ever run into this issue since upgrading both AI and Ps.
Thoughts?
Love solving my own technotes. 🙂
Turns out I needed to reassign the color profile on my target PSD file.
The PSD is defaulted to a nebulous 'Apple Wide Color Profile' instead of the standard sRGB IEC61966-2.1. Why.. no clue.
When I re-assigned to the sRGB profile, the copy/paste from AI to Ps started working again.

Worth noting I just upgraded to Ps 26.11 and AI 29.8.2. Same issue.

Thanks for the update, SD. I couldn't find Ps 26.7 anywhere.
I'll search the Community for similar problems pasting while you poke around in Illustrator to see if you have a corrupt ICC profile.
You are not alone -- here is a post from Feb 2024 ICC color profile is invalid on Win10 that seems to have been forgotten.
[my search term was for "Could not complete the Paste command because ICC profile is invalid" and this post (color profile is invalid) was the only one the system coughed up]

So the kludgy workaround I'm finding is to create a new PSD file, then past the RGB graphic into it. From that PSD file, I'm able to copy/paste into the targeted PSD file.
Guessing it has something to do with the target PSD file. I looked under Edit>Color Settings in both Ps and AI, and they mirror each other.
I'll continue the kludgyness of creating a whole new PSD file into order to paste from AI, and then hopscotch over to the desired PSD.
Fun!
