Super Resolution Camera Raw 13.3

I have been going nuts the last couple of days with various issues in Photoshop, one of which is the Super resolution in Camera Raw. It initially gave me an error message "unknown error". Eventually I was on chat with Adobe and managed to reinstall ACR. Only this time the right-click/ enhance works to create a DNG copy. The issue however is the original and the enhanced file both have identical megapixel count - ie 6000x4000 mp whereas the enhance file size is about 4 times more. What am I missing here?
