Swatches out of position

I find I'm constantly having to delete and reload my Photoshop swatches  because they change positional order. I have them grouped in a certain order ... browns, flesh tones together. Etc ... but  they end up out of position after use. Any suggestions on how to keep them grouped in the exact order I am used to using? Thanks for any help!

I haven’t made such observations yet, could you please post screenshots to illustrate?

Is there anything noteworthy about the times when swatch-switches happen?

Hi, do they reset to the default position?

This is how the swatches look when first imported...

But within a few sessipns they end up looking like this. I'm not adding or amending any colors, they just seem to become jumbled.

It's sometimes fairly easy to move one when we try to select a color. Maybe do we need a lock option?

I would try to export the group, so that it is saved, in order to re-import with the wanted configuration in case things changed, sorry this is all I can suggest, I never experienced the issue myself.

Yes, it's a bit baffling. I have the original group and thats what i have to keep reloading periodically ... it just seems that there has to be a simple answer as to why this problem keeps arising!

Please keep an eye out for any element/operation/… that might precede the changes and let us know if you can narrow it down to anything.

If it happens completely randomly then it might be hard/impossible to determine a cause.

As I cannot reproduce the issue I cannot really trouble-shoot.

I wonder if you might not avoid some of the problem’s effect by splitting the swatches into several groups.

That way a changed order at some point would not »spill« over all following swatches automatically.

Thanks for the suggestion. Perhaps ,... but it still means adding additional steps to my work process, so I may as well just keep deleting the swatches and then importing the original group.

Reset doesn't apperar to still be an option in the Swatches dropdown on the latest Pshop?
