Syncing error

Every time I am getting the message "something is preventing syncing". 
no details just those words in that grey cloud icon in photoshop. What could that problem be and how can it be fixed? Thx in advance.

First thing for troubleshooting would be to sign out of the Creative Cloud and then sign in again. Or then, sign out of CC, uninstall the app, restart your computer, reinstall the app, and then sign in. Please let us know if this doesn't help.

Can I sign out of creative cloud without loosing my files? I don't want to loose files, I have not backed them all up yet if I uninstall the app will I loose my file.
