Question

System print dialog appearing after hitting 'print'

Hi,

When I print from Photoshop, I typically go into print settings and adjust the system dialog settings, then hit save, and hit print.

Lately, when I hit 'Print' from Photoshop, the system print dialog appears *again* and I don't know why. It will revert to a preset and doesn't save the settings I set just before.

I'm on a Mac running Big Sur and I print to an Epson P5000.

On a MAC you can reset the printing system:
On your Mac, choose Apple menu System Preferences, then click Printers & Scanners
Press and hold the Control key as you click in the list at the left, then choose “Reset printing system” from the menu that appears.
After you reset the printing system, the list of printers in Printers & Scanners preferences is empty.
Reinstall the print driver, only from the manufacturer, not Apple.

[I recommend you don't choose "Airprint" under "use"]

Also take a look at the following article and check if that helps:

You may like to re-install the printer drivers to check if that makes a difference?

Here is some general Adobe [Mac and Win] info on printing problems,

Simple reset: hold the space bar when you open the print window. It resets the print dialogs

Only Photoshop?

Quit Photoshop if running.
Relaunch Photoshop and open the file that you want to print.
Press the Spacebar on your keyboard before you click File > Print. This process resets printer preferences that have been written into the image.
