Tablet not working now?

I use a One by Wacom CTL-472, and have never had any issues. It's working on other programmes (eg Affinity), and working on Photoshop on my laptop.

Everything is updated, but for some reason the cursor doesn't move on Photoshop.

If I am using my tablet in another window then click photoshop up from the taskbar, it does start working for a few seconds, then cuts out again!

Any clues on how to fix this?  Thank you!

OK - i managed to fix it, hooray! I uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop, then did the same for my Wacom One tablet. I thought I had done that before, but I didn't fully uninstall the Wacom One first, and possibly i din't have the specifically correct driver.  This time I was careful to be sure to install the correct Wacom One Driver (which I identified using the Wacom centre previously, which showed the model I had (DTC133) )  Then, next time I tried Photoshop it worked! If you still have this problem, maybe it will help you?  @eve_6555

The pen works for a while and then stops. Clicking the left mouse button in the other screen makes the pen work again. The problem exists with Photoshop and Lightroom and Fresco (they all are Adobe programs). The pen works fine with all other programs like Paint, Powerpoint, CorelCAD. The computer is Dell XPS 16 9640.

Hey, @eve_6555. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share a video of the issue and the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy and paste into a text document > Upload and attach here.

Does it behave as mentioned after a specific set of steps? What troubleshooting steps have you tried already?

Try these steps:
Go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to backup.

  • Windows 10/11: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
  • You can press Press the Windows key > Enter 'Run' > Enter %APPDATA%\Adobe
  • Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2025 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2025. old), You can restore these preferences later if needed.(https://adobe.ly/4860qM9)
  • Restart the computer.

These changes will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a fresh install. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!
