Someone moved your post to Photoshop with commenting. If they were wrong, let us know so we can move it.
In any case, can you show a screenshot that includes:
your Text with an insertion point (Type tool)
Character and Paragraph panels (Window menu)
Layers panel (Window menu)
One possible reason is that the text is the same color as the background. Another is that it doesn't fit in the frame because of the size or another reason. It could be on a lower layer and needs to be moved up. We need more information to see the actual issue. You might even spot it when the panels are open.
Did you click and type to make Point text or drag and type to make Area text?
