Text is corrupted in PSD CC - how do you fix this issue?!

HI - 

Has anyone else experienced this with Photoshop in CC before? This keeps happening. First I thought it was my graphics card on my old computer. Then I recently got a new Mac computer (actually it was a refurbished buy) and same thing is happnening to PSD again!

Super frustrating so I'm hoping there is a simple way to fix this issue.

It generates lines all over the artboard when I try to use the type tool.
