Text not visible

Hi all, there's probably a really simple solution but I just can't find it...

Whenever I insert text, no text appears. The transform controls show. I can see the edge of the layer. The thumbnail text shows what I've written, but I cannot see anything on the canvas. When I cmd-click the text layer, it says there are no pixels to select.

I've tried different resolutions, canvas sizes. Yes, it's 100% opacity, blend mode normal. View > Show > All is selected... I'm out of ideas. Help me please! I'm stumped...

THANKS!

Whoa, okay team... not sure what happened there, but I was messing around with font size (dragging backward and forward between 0 and 1000) and suddenly, the text appeared. Definitely glitchy... Might try reinstalling...

Thanks for your help Ged Traynorc.pfaffenbichler I may be back later on if it starts playing up again.

I don't think the issue was to do with the font being too big or too small... any ideas what could've made this happen?

Instead of reinstalling try resetting the Type Tool first

A preference reset is always a good idea when things don't work as they should as well

To restore preferences quickly using a keyboard shortcut: Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop

This was one of the first things I tried. No change!

Sorry I meant with the Type Tool selected

What color are you typing with, have you checked this option, it seems your foreground color is set to the same color as the shape your typing on
