I simply want to create a copy of my signature that pops up when I hit the text button so I don't have to type it in every time

I just want to be able to type in my name add a little fancy font and place it on my photographs. I don't want to have to type it in every time. Why can't I do this just by hitting the text button like that stupid paragraph that shows up every time I touch it

If you are using Windows version of PS in the upper right corner there should be a magnifying glass.

Click on it and enter "Watermark" in the Search block.

To save a watermark in Photoshop, you can use the shortcut Ctrl + Alt + S (Windows) or Alt + Command + S (Mac), then click File > Save a Copy. You can also save your watermark to the Creative Cloud Library, which allows you to access it from within Photoshop. To do this, you can:
  1. Open the Libraries panel by selecting Window > Libraries
  2. Click Create New Library at the top
  3. Name the new library, for example, "Watermarks"
  4. Click Create
  5. With your watermark file still open, click the + icon at the bottom of the Libraries panel
  6. Choose Graphic from the pop-up list
  7. Close your watermark file
  8. Have fun creating your Watermark.

Custom brush is a good way.

Or use a text layer, make it a Smart Object, and place it in a CC Library.

You can ten create a tiny action to place it in the image.

Turn on the rulers, right click and set to Percentage.

When you create the text layer, use Right Justified so it be to the left of the insertion poiint.

Place the Smart Object at something X: 95% and Y: 5%

I am not sure how you'd automatically resize the signature for different image sizes, but one of our scripting experts can probably tell you how to do that.

You could either insert manually with a shortcut, but if you have a lot of images, like from an event, use Image Processor to run the action on a folder of images.
