text selection is offset from where it should be

when i try to select and edit text it seems to behave very strange,  like its not aligned with where the text actualy is, as seen in the image below the selection area for the "&" sign, when selected, is below the other line and not over the "&"  where you would want it to be, this makes editing very confusing, and very hard to select the line you want to select,  any ideas?

Select all of the characters and change the baseline shift from 59.98 pts to 0 pts. This is a character setting, so it's important to select all the text.

If you need to change the line spacing, select the text and change (Auto) to a number. Typical leading is typesize plus two (18+2=20) in your case, but that number is a starting point.

Hi

Unfortunatley, I'm having the same issue but my baseline shift is set to 0 and no change in leading.  The problem seems to be in the display of the selcted text - maybe a software issue?

This problem started with the latest update to Photosop 23.5

🤦🏻‍♂ a reboot fixed it, but it happens a lot lately, I still hope it gets fixed soon

Most likely the issue is either a baseline shift or superscript. Can you show another screenshot with your text selected exactly like it is, but also include the Character panel (Window menu).
