The filter lensblurr delivers a totally different result under an M1 MacStudio than on an Intel Mac

Yes, it's a shame that Adobe hasn't solved this so that the values lead to identical results regardless of the hardware...

Too late... I updated... Did not solve a thing. I have run through everything I can. Seems there is no resolve around this. I literally have to go purchase a second hand Macbook tomorrow purely to run my lens blurs! Need to keep working. Hopefully one day this gets resolved.

i would not update yet. My dealer's IT employee says it doesn't help, but there are other instabilities. He says it's better to wait for one or two more system updates.

Wondering if I should update to Sonoma 14.3.1? I am currently on Ventura 13.5. Just worried as have heard a lot of complaints about the new OS.... Don't want to do that and nothing helps. I was on Monteray with my iMac and that worked. But if this is just an intel vs chip thing, then I don't know if changing the OS is going to solve anything. 😕😕

My hardware dealer suspects that these filters are calculated differently due to the i7 vs M1, M2 cpu than under the graphics cards under i7. However, he has not yet received an answer from Adobe and not from Apple. He assumes that because of all the Ai-stuff they are not interested in the needs of the few professionals who need consistency in their workflow...

Reinstall helps nothing. Adobe does not really care about pros…

I am experiencing this issue now. I use lens blur on a daily basis for my work. I went from an iMac 2019 to a new Mac Studio M2. I am not getting the same bokeh effect at all and the whites just blow out completely. I have tried everything. This is REAL issue as not I cannot product the same results as I have always been doing. My QA manager kept asking why I was using gaussian blur which is exactly how lens blur looks now. I am not happy with this at all. Spent all this money and now I am screwed. I tried field blur, I tried lens blur in Photoshop Raw, NOTHING is giving me that effect that I was getting on my iMac. I chatted to someone at Adobe who just said reinstall photoshop. That did not do anyting.....PLEASE HELP!!! 

I spoke to my hardware dealer today.
He has also heard from other customers that there are differences in the results of some filters.
However, he does not have a solution for the problem…

Deleting the preferences and starting with a completely new PS unfortunately did not result in any change. It seems that the values for the lights (brightness/brightness and threshold/ thresholdhold) are calculated completely differently on my M1 Mac Studio than on a i7 Mac.
