The new "Select Subject" functionality in the new version of Photoshop 21.2.1 does not work. And "Quick Select" has stopped working.

What does 'does not work' mean? Don't you get any selection at all, or are you not happy with the results? And what OS are you using?

Thank you for your answer. The new "Select Subject" functionality in the new version of Photoshop 21.2.1 does not work as expected. It works as the old versions. It seems not to be using the new functionality. And "Quick Select" has stopped working, I don't get any selection at all.

My OS is Windows 10.

Obviously 'Quick Select' should work. Maybe you should try resetting the preferences. Comparing the old and new Select Subject is more tricky, because this may also depend on the image. You may well find that in some image the old algorithms worked better, but in most other images they new ones do.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have uninstalled Photoshop again indicating that it does not keep the preferences. And when installing again it has worked. Problem solved.
