The pencil is moving the canvas instead drawing only on Photoshop CC 2018

I've been recently going through a problem with photoshop, on my main computer, after the recent update (19.1.3). I'm using a Wacom 13HD and Photoshop CC 2018.

When I want to draw, I have to hold still my pen for a couple of seconds before it want to properly draw a line. If I don't wait, it just move the canvas instead. I've tried on different drawing programs (Paintoll SAI, Paint and Illustrator CC 2018) and even on another computer with the same programs, and it works perfectly fine. No matter what version or settings I choose either for the Wacom 13HD or Photoshop, the problem is the same.

Thanks for the response.

I encountered the same problem thedeathaboveushad. The PSUSerConfi.txt Fix worked, but it left my tablet pressure-less. Any suggestions?

Hi

Make sure that the text file is exactly as written above and that Windows Ink is off in the tablet driver.

Switching windows ink off fixes the moving canvas issue. The PSUserConfig.txt file restores pressure sensitivity.

Hay none of these fixes have worked for me. Also I can't remove the update. Has anyone been able to get anything else to work?

@mmcindoe This worked for me, thanks for posting!

(I had to close and re-open photoshop for the change to take effect)

Here's where you can copy/paste the command from:

Has anyone figured out a solution to dual monitor tablet usage? These steps and even the command work fine with a single monitor but the issue is still persistent with dual monitors. Also when is Windows 10 going to take down this update, it's a nightmare for tablet users.

The steps work fine on a multi-monitor set up. I use three monitors here and have the PSUserConfig.txt solution installed.

Microsoft have issued this :

Am I the only person here that isn't being helped by any of the solutions suggested? I have tried everything that's been suggested and still no luck. I have an Intuos3 and nowhere in the tablet settings can I find the "disable Windows Ink" option.

If you can't use the Disable windows Ink + PSUserConfig.txt solution,

Then remove the PSUserConfig.txt file and use this alternative issued by Micosoft :

Disabling windows ink resolves the canvas issue the text file resolves the pen pressure. So it sounds like you don't havec the text file exactly right. Check it and ensure the content is exactly as described. Also make sure you let notepad add the .txt extension. If you type it, the file will be called PSUserConfig.txt.txt which will not work.
